A transformed mind, and a Holy and living sacrificial life is what God asks of us here!  It is only by the mercies of God, that this is possible for humans.  This comment to individuals is quickly merged into a fellowship theme.  "Members of one body" is God's design for the "blood bought Church."  "One Body, many, but "individually members one of another."  How powerful!

Rom 12:1-5    Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.   3  For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.  4  For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,  5  so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Eph 4:16    from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Our Prayer:
Lord, help us to be the Church we read about in the New Testament.  Help us to be the disciples that are described.  Help us to make disciples.  May we eagerly renew our minds continually by absorbing Your word, by prayer and by pure love-fellowship as members of The Body of Christ.  May each of us supply what we should to cause growth in God's Church.  In Jesus' name,   Amen.
